Work in progress started in April of the 2013

«Circular Time» started it in April 2013, moment in which I start to collect aluminum foil used, mine and of relatives with which I’m building a ball…the time materialized through a daily waste collection.

In my day to day attempt to avoid the use of this material while I find it useful but I can’t help but see its toxicity. This is why I chose to work with it, for that ambivalence: serves me, it is useful, but at the same time hurts.

In this buildup is growing a body that contains the passage of time, layer upon layer of situations, each one of them a rest, a trace, memory, experiences that both society and the individual accumulates, a footprint found anywhere in the world (I have not been at all but a few, and something that I always find in the soil of any country is a ball of aluminum foil). It has become one element of the landscape, both natural and urban…I imagine will be popular among archaeologists of the future.

Every time I take a photo of myself holding it, always with the same frame. Little by little I’m disappearing behind the ball. I think I will give the piece complete once the frame is flooded by the aluminium, already I can’t being seen… but I will be there.
